Call for papers

The University of Veterinary Medicine will organize this year's Scientific Student Conference (TDK) on November 18, 2026, and we encourage applications from our students! Students new to the TDK must apply via Neptun: students can submit their application via the Neptun Menu: Administration--> Requests.

Please note that the TDK Council has decided that the maximum length of a paper is 40 pages, that it must not contain any appendices, and that only individual work may be presented at the conference (one paper, one author). Only the results of scientific work may be presented at the TDK conference, and the evaluation committee will pay special attention to this when assessing the papers.

The TDK regulations and the most important information can be found in the academic year prospectus. Information on the formal requirements for diploma (and TDK) theses, drawn up by the Director of the Central Library, is available in the departments or in the Central Library. For an extract of the formal and content requirements, please click here.

We would like to draw your attention to the new rules introduced from 2024, which are the responsibility of all students and supervisors who wish to participate in the TDK. These rules are available under the "Regulations" link on the TDK website.

Deadlines for papers to be presented at the 2026 TDK conference:
  • Uploading will be available from September 7, 2026.
  • October 2, 2026 midnight: The data of the planned thesis and the English and Hungarian abstracts must be submitted via the online form on the TDK website. The submission form includes the author's name, address, telephone and mobile number, email address, year of study, passport number, title of the paper, department, and the supervisor(s)'s name and position.
  • October 15, 2026 noon: The TDK theses must be uploaded to Neptun for plagiarism check. It is the responsibility of both supervisors and departmental administrators to ensure that the necessary submission settings are created in Neptun in time, and to check the results of the plagiarism analysis promptly and communicate any required corrections to the students without delay. Please allow sufficient time for this, as corrections – if any – must be finalized by the deadline. Failure to meet the deadline may result in the thesis being excluded from the evaluation process. Only TDK theses that have successfully passed the plagiarism check and have been approved by the supervisor (see supervisor's declaration and consent) may be uploaded to our system. If you have any questions about plagiarism screening, please do not hesitate to contact the Director of the Central Library, Bea Winkler. For further information click here.
  • October 16, 2026 midnight: The completed thesis that has passed the plagiarism check may be uploaded to the TDK website (not in Neptun!) in PDF format.
  • October 19, 2026 noon: Two copies of the thesis, bound together (black bound or spiral bound), must be submitted by 12.00 noon on October 19, 2026, and must be accompanied by the written consent of the supervisor(s). Hard copies should be submitted to the Secretary of the Department of Anatomy and Histology (Adrien Kováts).

Please, pay special attention that the title and other particulars of the paper are the same when submitting the abstracts and the final version of the paper!

Papers not complying with formatting requirements will be excluded. Deadlines are strict. There will be no access on the web page after the deadlines.

Please, keep the deadlines!

Should you have any problems logging in or with the online data management page, please send a message from the login page.
