Activity of the Council of the Student' s Research Circle

3. §

  • The Council may modify the regulations of the Student' s Research Circle in minor affairs, or if there is a need for major amendments, it elaborates the proposal for the senate.
  • The Council makes decisions regarding the distribution and utilisation of funds made available for the activities of the Student' s Research Circle.
  • The Council is in contact with the special committees, organisations, associations of the Student' s Research Circle.
  • The Council (vice chairman' s duty) enhances and coordinates the international relations of the Student' s Research Circle.
  • The Council informs first-year students about the possibilities and relevance of work in the Student' s Research Circle.
  • The Council ensures that topics for research are regularly offered and publicised by departments, institutions, factories, etc.
  • The Council organises and manages institutional conferences to be held at least once a year, preferably in the autumn semester.
  • The Council takes part in the preparations for and organisation of the biannual Conference of the National Student' s Research Circle.
  • The Council enhances the publication and utilisation of the studies, and contributes to their professional acknowledgement.
  • The Council decides which of the studies may participate at different conferences (in foreign institutions), or events of scientific associations, societies.
  • The Council certifies the activities of the members of the Student' s Research Circle by notes in the black book (index) or in other ways. (E. g. "Held a lecture at the xxx conference of the Student' s Research Circle", "Awarded at the Conference of the National Student' s Research Circle".)
  • The Council forwards propositions for the rewarding (financial and professional) of outstanding members of the Student' s Research Circle and lecturers or researchers dedicated to aiding them.
  • The Council may have a meeting when necessary, but it must have regular meetings at least twice during the academic year to deal with current issues. It makes its decisions with simple majority.
  • The Council informs the administration of the university when necessary, but at least every two years, about the current issues of the work of the Student' s Research Circle.
  • The Council represents the interests of the members of the Student' s Research Circle (within and outside the university, during the study period, and at the time of searching for a job).
