Membership in the Student' s Research Circle
4. §
1. Criteria for the membership of the Student' s Research Circle are as follows: eminent behaviour, inclination for a high level of independent learning; study performance of at least 3.5 in the term preceding admittance to the Student' s Research Circle; acceptance of the application by the Council of the Student' s Research Circle, by the instructor and department leader, or the manager of the institution or factory. (The requirement of the 3.5 study performance may be reduced in very special cases to the average achievement of the student' s fellows in the same year.)
2. Rights of the members:

Members may use, with full monetary responsibility, all laboratory, library, economic, educational technological, material, animal, etc. resources and facilities free of charge which are required for the elaboration of their project.

Members may apply for funds from the Agrár TDK Alapítvány, WALTHAM-díj and other resources offered for the enhancement of activities in the Student' s Research Circle.

Members may use their results in preparing their study in the Student' s Research Circle or thesis.
They may register for the institutional Conference of the Student' s Research Circle in which the members who achieve at least 60% of the maximum grade for their written work may also hold a lecture presenting it at the conference. They may also participate at national or international conferences of the Student' s Research Circle with the recommendation of the Council of the Student' s Research Circle and the instructor. The university supports their participation financially.

From the term following the participation at the institutional TDK conference till the end of their studies, members are entitled for a scholarship that corresponds to the category 0.5 mark higher than that of the member.

If the elaboration of the topic is worth publication or serves as the basis of an innovation, patent, etc. the member enjoys copyright after consultation with the tutor (instructor).

Members may ask their instructor for a certificate when they have to miss lessons due to activities which cannot be postponed.

The author may submit the study presented at the institutional Conference as a thesis. Authors of studies prepared for the Conference of the Student' s Research Circle who study veterinary science are entitled for grade 5 automatically. The department where the study was prepared submits it for the state examination committee. Any deterioration should be explained by the head of the department. The Council of the Student' s Research Circle makes a special decision regarding the acceptance of studies presented at the Conference by students of applied zoology (biology) as theses rewarded by grade 5 upon the proposals of the Institute for Biology. Studies awarded at the National Conference of the Student' s Research Circle must be submitted to the state examination committee for grade 5 irrespective of the decision of the Council of the Student' s Research Circle
Members may ask for official certification regarding their activity in the student' s research circle (notes on the student card, in the black book (index), certificate for PhD training, for job applications, etc.).

Members participate at the meetings of the Student' s Research Circle with consultative, electoral and voting rights. Any member, meeting the criteria, may be opted for membership in the Student' s Research Circle.

It is possible for members to participate at the first institutional, or – based on the proposal of the Council of the Student' s Research Circle – national or international Conference after graduation.
3. Obligations of the members:
While members are engaged in their activities in the Student' s Research Circle, they should also study with good records.

They have to stick to regulations regarding work schedule, safety at work, protection of property, avoidance of fire. They should also stick to the ethical norms of scientific research and should represent the university with dignity in the Student' s Research Circle as well as the different forums of scientific life.

Members are supposed to conclude a part of their activity or the whole of it in a study, and by presenting it at Conferences of the Student' s Research Circle of different levels.

Members must follow the decisions of the Council of the Student' s Research Circle.

Members are supposed to make TDK activities popular first of all among younger students.
